Idle motorsport tycoon · iOS & Android

Your car is always racing.

Run a racing team through seventy years of motorsport. Upgrade the car, sign drivers, beat your rival, win the Grand Prix — then sell the team and start a dynasty.

Free to play. Optional purchases. No energy, no waiting — the race never stops.

01 — How it plays

Spend it. See it.

A live race is on screen the whole time you play. Every upgrade you buy shows up on the track within one race — a faster car, a wider tyre, a wing where there wasn't one.

Always racing

Ten cars, one-minute races, back to back. Watch your cyan car climb the order, hit PUSH at the right lap, and take the last-lap pass.

Aero, Engine, Chassis, Tyres. Level them, then bolt on Spec parts that change the shape of the car. Promotion brings a whole new era of machine.

Start a dynasty

Sell the team for Legacy and restart in 1950 with a permanent edge. Every run climbs faster, further, into a ladder that never ends.

02 — Seventy years of racing

Every promotion, a new era.

Start in a front-engine roadster. Win the league and the regulations change — wings arrive, turbos spike, ground effect sucks the car to the road. Each era rewards a different build.

  • Club1950s
    1950s front-engine roadster

    Front-engine roadster
Engine is everything. Long laps, thin tyres, brave drivers.

  • Regional1960s
    1960s rear-engine car

    Rear-engine revolution
The engine moves behind the driver. Chassis starts to matter.

  • National1970s
    1970s winged car

    The wings era
Aero arrives. Downforce beats horsepower in the corners.

  • ContinentalLate 70s
    Late 1970s ground-effect car

    Ground effect
The floor does the work. Aero rules, and a second car joins the team.

  • Pro1980s
    1980s turbo car

    Turbo
Engine spikes. Power on the straights, chaos in the pits.

  • Elite1990s
    1990s car

    Electronics
Active everything. Chassis and consistency win titles.

  • World2000s
    2000s V10 car

    The V10s
Screaming engines, sculpted aero. The peak of the loud years.

03 — The calendar

Six circuits. Six problems.

Each track favours a different part of the car, and each has a moment worth watching for — a tunnel, a bridge, a wall-lined chicane, a banked oval pass.

Brindley Park circuit, seen from aboveWave

Brindley Park Balanced

The home circuit. Seven corners, a hairpin and a footbridge over the top straight. The grandstand does the wave when you lead.

Harbour Loop street circuitWalls

Harbour Loop Technical

A street circuit between the cranes. Walls where the gravel should be, a single-file chicane, and PUSH decides the race.

Ridgeback mountain circuit at nightTunnel

Ridgeback Technical

Five linked hairpins down a mountainside and a tunnel where the field vanishes for a heartbeat. The highest variance on the calendar.

Cedar Valley circuit with its lakeBridge

Cedar Valley Balanced

Flowing undulation around a lake. The road crosses itself on a plank bridge — cars go over and under in the same lap.

Salt Flat OvalBanking

Salt Flat Oval Power

Near-oval with one kink and a banked turn where passes go three wide around the outside. Pure pace, least luck.

Larkspur Park circuitSlipstream

Larkspur Park Power

A long back straight beside the crumbling old banking. Slipstream it, bunch the field, and make your move at the end.

04 — In the game

Four tabs. No clutter.

Garage, Team, HQ, Shop. The race sits above them all and never pauses. Nothing between races asks you a question.

05 — The team

Sign the driver.
Beat the rival.

  • Forty drivers to scout. Pace, Racecraft, Consistency — and a Signature Move that fires on the right kind of track.
  • Two seats, a bench, and stars. Duplicates star drivers up. Bench drivers coach the ones who race.
  • A rival who talks back. Every league has one. They pass you, they message you, and the season ends in a double-points Showdown.
06 — Questions

Before you ask

Is it an idle game or a racing game?

Both. The race runs by itself and pays out whether you watch or not. Your job is the team: what to upgrade, who to sign, when to PUSH, when to sell up. Active players earn extras in gems and moments; nobody is punished for going to sleep.

What happens when I'm away?

Your sponsors keep paying and the races keep running, up to a cap. When you come back there's a sheet with what you earned and an optional ad to double it. The cap grows with your team.

Is it free?

Yes. Race Chief is free to download and play to the end of the ladder. There are optional purchases (gem packs, a Starter Pack, a Pit Pass) and optional rewarded ads. Nothing you can buy is required to progress, and the driver-crate odds are shown in the game.

Is it a real motorsport licence?

No. The cars, circuits, teams and drivers are our own — an affectionate history of open-wheel racing, not a licensed series. Race Chief is not affiliated with or endorsed by any real racing championship.

When does it launch, and where?

iOS and Android, with a soft launch in selected countries first. Leave your email on the support page and we'll tell you when it's on your store.
