Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and Race Chief ("we", "us") covering the Race Chief mobile game (the "Game") and this website. By downloading or playing the Game you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't play. Where you got the Game from the App Store or Google Play, that store's terms also apply, and their rules win if the two conflict.
1. Who can play
You must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live, or have a parent or guardian's permission. The Game is rated for a general audience but includes simulated randomised rewards (driver crates), so please check your store's age rating.
2. Your licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and play the Game on devices you own or control, for your own entertainment. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, sell, rent or distribute the Game or any part of it, or use it to build a competing product, except where the law expressly allows.
3. Virtual items and currency
Cash, gems, Legacy, drivers, cars, cosmetics and every other in-game item ("Virtual Items") are licensed to you, not sold. They have no real-world value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred outside the Game. We may change, rebalance, or remove Virtual Items as the Game evolves; where we do, we will try to be fair about it.
4. Purchases, subscriptions and refunds
- All purchases are made through the App Store or Google Play and are subject to their payment terms. Prices are shown before you confirm, in your local currency, including any tax the store applies.
- Pit Pass is a recurring subscription of 28 days that renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, through your store's subscription settings. Rewards already earned stay with you when it ends.
- Refunds are handled by the store under its policy; we cannot process refunds directly. Virtual Items consumed before a refund may be removed from your account.
- Driver crates are randomised. The odds for each rarity are shown in the Game before you open one.
5. Fair play
Don't cheat. That includes modifying the Game or its save data, exploiting bugs, using bots or automation, manipulating the device clock to gain offline earnings, or interfering with the weekly bracket. Race results are computed deterministically, and we may reset progress, remove Virtual Items, or block access for accounts that break these rules. Abusive contact with other players or with us is not tolerated.
6. Ads
The Game offers optional rewarded ads. Watching one is always your choice. Ads are supplied by third-party networks and we don't control their content; report anything inappropriate to support@racechiefgame.com.
7. Availability and changes
We may update, change, suspend or discontinue the Game or any feature at any time, including online features such as cloud save and brackets. We'll give reasonable notice of a full shutdown where we can. We don't guarantee the Game will always be available or error-free.
8. Our content
The Game, its art, characters, names, code and music are owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright and trademark law. "Race Chief" and the helmet logo are our marks. Team, driver and circuit names in the Game are fictional; any resemblance to real people, teams or places is coincidental.
9. Disclaimers and liability
The Game is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude all warranties, and our total liability to you for anything arising from the Game is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death, personal injury, or fraud, and nothing affects consumer rights you have under the law of your country.
10. Termination
You can stop playing and delete the Game at any time. We can end your licence if you materially breach these terms. Sections 3, 8, 9 and 11 survive termination.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the country in which we are established, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection you enjoy where you live. Disputes will be brought in the courts of that country unless the law gives you the right to bring them where you live.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll post the new version here with a new effective date, and for material changes we'll notify you in the Game. Continuing to play after that means you accept them.
